HFC's with IPE F1

Guys I have the the full IPE exhaust which I have been quite impressed with in terms of the quality of the exhaust and the way the valves give you the options in terms of sound.

That said I pretty much feel like a d@ck every time I have the valves open which means I only ever really open them in the country (so on weekends away) or if I went to the track (not often). Seriously - for anyone that has not heard it in full-on mode it must be 200 decibels...

So.. am thinking of adding HFC's which will restrict the flow (a little which I am not bothered about I think the power difference will be minor).

My question is - by what factor do you think adding these will reduce the volume ? 20 - 40% ? Also - I presume this set up will reduce the raspiness which I would not mind either ?

I think someone on the forum has done this already ?

Thanks

Ask UsurbrainM3. He added in some high flow cats to the standard system.

Has anyone used just the rear muffler with the F1.

Cant find many videos on it, but yes to answer your question it would reduce it, i personally think not by much.

Would seem pointless giving this advise at you spend $6000 on the full setup to change it, but if you wanted it quitter HFC's and x pipe with resonator.

Or just add some resonators to the X pipe, but of a custom job but it would help.

why don't you put back on the oem section 1 and run the x-pipe with axle back. That will quiet it a lot, but you will lose a good amount of power.

Not a bad idea but I would like to try and retain the power gain if possible.. I thought the HFC's would be the best of both worlds in that I'll only loose a couple of HP and It will make it a bit quieter.
