even if people pull the its a Nissan card, people should be able to appreciate its performance. You can't say you are a car enthusiast and not give the gtr the credit it deserves

Mind=Blown

The Badge is everything to some people. It's enlarges their wangs by 150%

Yes I'd go for a lambo without any hesitation if I was to get a 90k car (not as a dd). GTR's are very expensive to maintain as well and if you go to any indy shop you lose your warranty for the $20k transmission. That's how they get you to do the $8k brake changes and $4k tires and $2k 20,000 mile service.

Also maybe I'm one of the few but I've been in a gallardo since my friend owns one. I'll take one any day. My car is on the right below and my friend's yellow 2005 gallardo in the middle. lol comparing the pic to my sig (current setup), I don't miss those stock wheels at all.

^^^ Those GTR trannies aren't really 20K to fix. I believe this has already been disproved numerous times; the clutches aren't insanely expensive to upgrade either if you are really worried. Samurai speed (a tuning company with one of the first 10 second GTR's in the USA) broke their tranny and fixed it for $1500.

Just never was a fan of any of the GTR's regardless of how fast they are.

Yes, getting into a 2007-2010 Lamborghini Gallardo would be the better choice IMO VS this Nissan. Anyone with half a brain would take a Lamborghini (Current bodystyle and engine) over this 2010 Nissan. I could ask 20,000,000 women which they would choose and I bet you not one would go with the Nissan. Ask 20,000,000 men and I bet those under 29 would say Nissan and those over 30 would say Lamborghini. LOL

At one point I was debating on getting into a 2008-2009 Gallardo and went with a modified Z4MC and newer X5 instead. A Nissan GTR would have been the last vehicle I would have looked at. A Ferrari F430 was another car I was looking at.

I am not bashing Nissan at all. Just isn't my style or my taste. Its the best bang for the buck IMO.

You may want to spruce up your info. The GT-R's transmission was fixed. You get FREE interval services(tune-ups) and your brakes can be changed for around ~1,500. I hate it when people pull numbers out of their ass. If it were me, the GT-R would be my choice. It would spank that Gallardo silly everytime, and I'd be able to DD it.

You can get a quality used GTR in the low 70s.

am i the only one who think the gallardo is pretty average looking. even in this pic, the 350z is better looking than a gallardo.

i would take the brand new 2012 gtr over a used lambo any days.

I know its not a daily driver kind of car but SERIOUSLY?

2012 GTR... 16 city/23 hwy..
Not that this is a daily driver either but give me 16/23 with that this kind of power ALL DAY!
Serious? Your thinking about gas mileage with either of these cars?

I have a superleggera and gas is the least of my worries when I drive the car....I worry about some retard backing into me.

Well..obviously you have a point;however, purely from a performance perspective.. if i could get that kind of performance and still get 16/23, the gtr is pretty sick!

Don't be sour, Why would the 'M3' guys have to play any card? The GT-R is no longer in the same price bracket as an M3. Even when it was a similar price, it still wasn't in the same price bracket with all the hype and dealer markup.

On the GT-R black edition, I prefer the original OEM wheels. If the only addition was wheels and Recaro seats, I think it's money better spent in other areas.

If you had a GT-R I think you would be more open to the idea of daily driving it. Versus a Lambo of any sort. Because of this, the mileage figure on the GT-R is of more importance than the figure on any Lambo. Such is the nature of each car.

You tell me. Every time the word GT-R comes up, the M3 folks get all defensive and say "It's just a Nissan". It's almost as if they feel threatened by it....

I got to line up against a 12 black series(owner claimed it was the first in the country) at my local 1/8th. Let's just say he wasn't hesitant to use his launch control. He hit a 7.43 @ 101. Bone stock. That's amazing! I had no chance. I'd need drag radials and some nitrous to beat that

A couple of things about the stupidity of the comments in this thread. Yes; you can buy a 2005 Lambo Gallardo for 90 or so K. But guess why no one wants to buy one and why no one keeps Lamborghinis that long nor do they drive them much?? The cars are incredibly expensive to maintain and insure. A new 2012 GTR will give you the peace of mind of a warranty and be considerably cheaper to maintain; it will also run laps around the Gallardo. The 2005 Gallardos were not insanely quick like the newer LP560-4's; you can look that up if you want. If the GTR is still to slow for you it's as simple as a tune; see what extra performance you will get out of a Gallardo for $900. The only thing that I see about the Lambo is the badge and sound which cannot be replicated in a six cylinder motor (although a GTR with an HKS exhaust sounds excellent.

As far as the badge comments; they are ludicrous... Yeah a GTR is not a luxury car so it won't be as nice as an M3 nor will it have the comfort of a BMW or the prestige of the make. It does however make minced meat out of everything in it's class and above for the price and I can assure you that the fact that a simple badge as Nissan taking out more prestigious marks is more impressive than badge whoring.
