Dealer called: Special Edition (1 of 40) Frozen Silver on the way from BMW

Hey Guys,

Just got a call from the dealer on a (1 of 40) Frozen Silver E92 M3s on the way from BMW.

It is fully loaded car w/ DCT (just like all the other special flat colors).

The car is going to the 40 M-Certified Dealers across the country and is limited production.

For more info PM me....I will not be getting the car, as I just got my Fire Orange one in June

Did I miss another special edition? And what is an "M-certified" dealer in the US?

You guys got the M3 Edition a couple years back though. Dakar and Monte Carlo were available plus blacked out trim and wheels. Much better than the Frozen colors, IMHO (though I do like them).

I've never heard of a M-certified dealership in the USA. They exist in Germany though.

Speaking from experience, frozen colors are a joy to own. Forget abt what BMW claims abt maintenance. The damn paint job is maintenance free. I have never spend less time on the maintenance of my car's paint job. The best part is, it doesn't look dirty even if it is filthy I like it so much i am ordering another dose of it!

I think the top M sellers in the United States get the special ones, I believe Steve Thomas is #1 in M sales which is why they were the 1st to get flat black.

^^that is correct, Ryan is the top Dog, however we were the first to get the matte Grey not the flat black. We are getting the Flat Silverstone as part of our M Certified dealership program that we are in the process of finishing up. Im excited to see it when it comes in.

Maybe M certified was the wrong wording. According to my dealer - BMW is starting new M section at 40 of its USA dealers.

It is a certain Motorsport Area will be built inside the dealership and these 40 dealers will get the special edition cars only.

I have a feeling it went to the great dealers in the country.

^^ its a whole process to become an official M center dealership. The dealership get selected by BMW and BMW M division. We were one of the few that got selected and are excited. Once we get everything up and running I will make sure to post a write up about it with Pics.

That sounds wonderful, where will it be located and when do you expect to be up and running ....

Solvang, CA or Camarillo, CA and when would that be?

Some of us Canadians like to drop by and pay you a visit as well. If you cannot sell us a nice special edition M then at least we can purchase some of your giddies you might display in the showroom keep us up to date please.

BTW when you speak to the powers to be convince them that you like to sell to us Canadians too, we like to fly out take delivery and drive back home ... I would do it in a heart beat ... just thinking out loud I like to do that
