This is an old thread, but I was talking specifically about E90's without the rear folding seats. I had 2 E90 335i's and neither had that option. Whenever I had to transport large items I always took my coupe.

I took it out of the Box and had checked it's dimensions on the best buy website. It fit just fine (it is about 55"x30" without the box feel free to take a tape measure to the back of your car like I did ). The best buy guys were laughing their ass off when I backed up the M3 to the loading dock. I did not say a word as I took it out of the box and slid it right in
