Rear tire width on "configurator"

Darn I'm bored...

The configurator on bmw.com that shows color choices and the 18/19 wheel choice shows a definite widening of the rear wheels (to the inside only actually) which is visible when you swap back and forth between 18 and 19 while looking dead on at the rear. I wonder of the tires fitted to the 19s will indeed be wider. This effect is not seen from the dead on front view with the front tires. This car needs every bit of rubber width on the rear that will fit. Hmmm.

No, it's an illusion--both 18s and 19s are the same width.

I beleive that the tire widths will be the same but an illusion is the wrong word. It is either a mistake on the graphics side or an intentional misleading detail.

Does anyone know the 18" tire size for US front and back?

I would like to know if I can use all seasons/snow tires (during winter) from my current 06 M3 and then continue using them on the new M3?

I plan on going with aftermarket rims 19x8.5f and 19x10r. The front is no problem from stock 19's. 245/35/19 tires. However, the stock rear 265 is too small (although technically ok) for a nice fit on 19x10. I used the wheel configuator and 275/35/19 is within 1% rolling radius. A 275/30/19 is actually worse rr difference. Can someone please confirm 275/35/19 is the correct tire for a 19x10r and keeps the car is proper balance. Thx.
