Really Dumb Question on TPMS...

i bought my car with aftermarket wheels and the selling dealer nicely gave me the oem wheels/tires (perfect, <2k miles). i am probably going to put them up for sale, and i am wondering how i can tell if they have tpms installed. the aftermarket wheels do have tpms (actually i am having problems with it now), but not sure what i need to look for on the oem wheels to see if they have it as well. i haven't really looked at them much as i picked them up after i got the car and immediately covered them and put them in the garage...thanks!

The valve stem is part of the TPMS. If your after-market wheels have them, then the OE wheels should have identical valve stems. You could also mount one, reset the TPMS, then let the air down and see if you get a low pressure warning (might not work if the two sets are not the same).

thanks. just checked the oem wheels and they have a rubber stem so no tpms. the wheels on the car have a metal stem which i guess has the tpms.
