Innotech or Kreissieg?

Hi there,
I currently own a e92 and I'm on the market for a new set of exahust.
I'm now interested in the Innotech F1 and Kreissieg F1. I know the KSG is much louder, haven't heard those two in person. Just wondering how much louder does a KSG compare to the Innotech?
The Innotech is around $6K and KSG is like to be somewhere around 8.5k-9k. Does KSG really worth that extra $3k?
Thx

KSG is not titanium... only the tips are if you order them as so (they are an extra $600 or so I believe)

You've heard one? KSG is not titanium... and for 50% more in cost over Innotech, it was a no brainer for me.

+1... the Innotech system is MUCH cheaper, removes all cats (has more of a power gain and is a true full exhaust), and doesn't throw a CEL due to their unique O2 bung design. It definintely was a no brainer for me too. I still haven't received my F1 system yet due to a delay in the manufacturing process in Japan and I ordered it back at the end of July, so if you want one you better order asap.

Well, I wasn't sure on the TI part :P
Thanks for clarifying it for me.

I never said it's worth the price. I don't even feel the Innotech is worth the retail price.

for $6k, a BBK is a much better mod for me

Though I do have an Akra, I needed the 50lbs or so weight savings, as my vert is a fatass

http://www.6speedonline.com/forums/b...ed-e92-m3.html

Also, regarding my TI reference, I mixed the KSG up with an Ericsson

Innotech for sure. Great system and fitment for the E92 is spot on, plus its a lot cheaper than the Kreissieg and with that extra money you can spend it on other mods

http://www.m3post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=501161

John and Mike are able to get the F1, and as Usurbrain can backup a really great set of guys to deal with.

Have you checked out the Active Autowerke complete exhaust system with high flow cats? I have their exhaust on my car and love the way that it sounds!

You can get black tips per special request that are also adjustable!

give me a break... if you remove all cats and resonators from an exhaust system, you free up power. This is common knowledge, a straight pipe system will yield more power than a system with 4 cats and 2 resonators. It's not my fault no one has dyno'ed theirs yet, I don't know why the guys at Rimmier haven't dyno'ed anything yet. PYspeed just got their first batch of F1 systems in and haven't had time to install it yet due to a couple of big events that they have been going to in the past 2 weeks, but they told me they will soon. So you can't dyno something that you don't have. Also, I know it is made from Japan, because the company is based there and my F1 system is being shipped straight from there.

yep is made in Taiwan.

Also - I am not sure Kre is louder ? Innotech is very very loud (with the valve open)... would agree the value is good, quality, fitment all very good.

You are right in that it will make power, but not all xpipes are created equal.

My butt dyno is telling me my Akra is making more overall power than my AA HFC Xpipe did
though it's also telling me i've lost low end torque cause I've been too lazy to get a new tune

They are from Taiwan and they are made there as well, and the power gains are not so cut and dry just because you remove the cats out of the systems. There is a lot more to it.

coming from the N54 tuning world, it was all about removing cats to gain more power. I understand we are talking about an N/A engine vs a turbo engine, and thus you need to tread on a fine line of the amount of backpressure is ideal for maximum power. But in the end why do you think people get more free flowing cats or go catless, it is simply to gain more power. The Akra exhaust doesn't gain power because it is pretty looking and titanium, it gains power because it is more free flowing, has 2 cats instead of 4 (and those 2 cats are high flow cats), and has a more free flowing muffler design. I agree its not completely cut in dry, but to an extent it is.

Go Kreissieg. If this system is anything like those on the F430s and F355 I've seen, the quality is unmatched by any exhaust system I've seen and is stupid loud... but still sounds fantastic. If I had the money, Kreissieg is the way I would go if I was more concerned about noise than power gains.

I understand where you are coming from and appreciate your input.

The N54 is dealt with in a completely different manner than the S65 is. Not only because it is NA VS. Turbo, but the V.E. of each motor is far different and how the motor is fed is entirely different.

Developing power on the S65 doesn't only deal with removing the catalysts. There are ways to optimize exhaust flow to maximize power delivery. Removing catalysts only increases the ease of flow.
