DCT downshift noises!!!

This is my first DCT and I noticed downshift noises when coming to a stoplight/stop sign. Even though it is not too bad, but I would like to know if it can be minimized by asking the dealer to add fluids to the car or etc?

And is this noise in all DCT M3s or some M3s can have silent downshifts?

EDIT:
OP meant mechanical sound which probably comes from diff. When downshifting; not the throttle blips I guess..

Yea, that! The sound when I let the car auto downshift when coming to a stop, not when the car is rev matching.

????

Dude nothing wrong with your car. What you're hearing is rev-matching. What DCT setting are you in? If you don't want to hear the rev matching change your setting to S1-S2 or D1-D2 maybe.

I don't know why you wouldn't want to hear it...I don't consider it a drive unless I hear that DCT downshift.

"downshift noises" could be referring to anything. Tell us exactly what you are hearing.

OP meant mechanical sound which probably comes from diff. When downshifting; not the throttle blips I guess..

I really hope so. OP, assuming you're serious and if the noise you're referring to is in fact rev-matched downshifting, if you don't enjoy that then I have to ask why you even got this car. Rev-matching ESPECIALLY on the S65 engine is life-affirming, and I think most if not all E9x M3 owners would agree that the engine sound in general is one of the M3's major sources of enjoyment. As others have said, if you don't like it you can probably get rid of it by using a lower shift mode, but I would recommend that you promptly return it to the dealer instead.

I have a solution for you. Get in your car, drive back to the dealer. Demand that you have your car exchanged for an AT 328i. Problem solved.

This thread is precisely why the M division is going down the toilet. Soon, people will be asking how to minimize that odd sound that emanates from the front when you press on that rectangular-shaped pedal on the right side of the floor.
