Exclamation Potentially stupid/excellent idea?

Just thought of something
Now this might be a fantastic idea, or it could be a stupid one.
You know how we all bitch about the side reflectors in the front bumper?
And most of us either change them for the painted ones, or tint them, or fill in the holes?
Would it be possible to use the hole with a small tube behind it that vents into the wheel arch liner?
Basically to duct the air behind the wheel to help with brake cooling.
You'd have a duct piece behind the hole with a flexible tube that opens up into the wheel liner. Now you'd have to make an opening in the wheel liner for this to work.
I have looked behind the wheel liner and that area is accesible, so you have space to work if you remove the liner.

Your Thoughts?

i think having 2 holes there would look silly, they would look very randomly placed to the untrained eye

The thing is....with air moving over the hole, it would create a low pressure zone and pull the air out. You would need to mount an air scoop/ram to funnel the air down a tube to the brakes. It would look kinda weird but I think there's potential in it for a race application.

How fast are you driving that you would even entertain this idea? 65-85, not going to do squat. Kudos for thinking outside the box.

Well yes
But I was thinking of having a cover from the front, that snaps into the part behind the bumper
Imagine this, but in an oval shape
See the flat lip at the front?
Well that would be oval to match the shape of our reflector

Will try to use my mediocre photoshop skills tomorrow to illustrate
Hard to do this on an iPad

Its not a bad idea.
The 2 negatives are:
1) Holes too smal to draw sufficient air to cool anything but a small radiator
2) Location of the intakes/reflectors are on the corner sweeps of aerodynamic efficiency = Most of the air would bypass the intake, unless you made the holes larger.
This could work on a race car, if you made the holes large enough.
