that is actually a very lovely Phoenix Yellow Metallic: code 445
that color alongside LSB are few of thoses leave it or love it e46 colors.
it works very well for a few younger crowds I think

Maybe it would look better if BMW actually had a nice yellow like Porsche or Ferrari and others. BMW is the only carmaker in the world that can screw up both red and yellow.

As a mate of mine with a disgustingly coloured 911 turbo once said to me, when you can afford a car like this you can have what ever colour you like.
He also mentioned that the more unpalatable colours actually got more attention.
