Windshield protection: ClearPlex or Crystalfusion?

So after only 3 months of my windshield getting beat by the SouthWest Desert rocks & sand blasted windshield, it finally took a hit and cracked. So I'm getting a new windshield and my insurance pays for it...minus my deductable. So I have to options it looks like here to get it protected. Here are the two and I'm on the fence with both. Read below and tell me what you guys think is best. Cheers!

This is offered at my BMW dealer which will be replacing the windshield. 5 year warrenty, covers any damage with no-out-of-pocket costs. Install is $695!

ClearPlex is offered at the Mercedes dealer across the street and costs only about $200 to instal. Issues are it scratches easy, can be replaced easily and in this area, dealer said I'm lucky if I make it a year and then need to replace it. But, this M3 is only gonna be a daily driver for about 2 months and then mostly in the garage and driven on the weekends.

I'm leaning towards the ClearPlex because of price mainly but not sure if in the long run it's worth getting the CrystalVision.

One last one is this Windshield Protector but I'm yet to find a local dealer.

Old thread....but did you go for any of these products? I'm considering doing something to protect my windshield for the same reasons you have in NM.

I'm very skeptical of how these coatings or films will interfere with the wiper operation.
