will my OEM e92 boot lid fit in my trunk

I have a newb question. I've got that mod itch ever since I ordered my 2012. And my question is if I get a new boot lid painted and installed at the body shop, is the OEM boot lid going to fit in my my trunk on the ride home or how else do you guys recommend shipping it? Will a body shop typically ship such items at my cost?
