I can get my phone book with the iPhone but that's it.
Technic said BMW has an exclusive deal with Blackberry for now.

I have it on my car and my bberry is compatible. When you're driving, you can't scroll down past the first page, which equates to about 2-4 lines of text usually, but you can have the computer read it to you (it can make nasty emails pleasant, in a way that only a female computer generated voice can).

Nevertheless, it's useful and I find myself using it often. My commute is a bit over 1hr each way, and it's nice to get updated before you arrive at your workplace. A quick glance and you know that so and so replied to that email, or there's an issue, or a major customer or a "big" boss has sent you an email, etc. For me, I'd rate it very useful and well executed for a first gen product.

With BMW Office and BMW Apps I would expect major upgrades and additions (full Android, iPhone and Blackberry integrations) in a year or so.

It has to happen one way or another just because the way it is done right now is absurd - only some Blackberry work with BMW Office, only iPhone work with BMW Apps, none work with Android. Really?

From what I've researched the problem is the Bluetooth MAP (Message Access Profile) protocol which for now only exist on blackberry phones. Rumors are that it will be integrated into release 5 of the iPhone software or in the new iPhone 5. Other vendors are working towards getting this added to there phone since all cars with email and text read out require it, or so I've read.

Calendar also works with the iPhone if you have BMW Apps. Sorta useless without email though... BMW needs to hurry up and end the exclusive deal with RIM asap.
