Over 200mph in a stock M3 with help of Irene?
You think if I went out now and drove flat out (155mph) and I'm assisted by hurricane Irene which is blowing around 55mph, I'd hit 200?

Well technically I guess that's possible. If you don't become airborn. Even then you'll probably achieve your desired 200mph. Let me know how stopping goes.

The average seems to be more like 3-5%, but yeah. Every time this comes up, and it has a thousand times, 155 is thrown out there again as the electronic limit. I tell myself to move on, it doesn't really matter, but here I am, again.
Nightshift makes it harder to stay away from pointless threads. ![]() Speaking of which, (assuming the limiter was removed) the only reason we can't get to 200 is wind resistance, (and common sense) so I'm thinking a good tailwind would allow it. I'm guessing it wouldn't take much, just 20 or 30mph, assuming it was steady and consistent. |
