missing your old M?

I was wondering how many of you browse the "Cars For Sale" section and check out e30/36/46s and wonder ... "humm.... could i swing $30K?"

I do it everyday...

"why" is the question....

1) I still miss the "urgency"...
2) Same fun... for half the car payment
3) Just curious
4) I have moved on ... E9X all the way!!!!

My E36 M3 was a blast to drive, but expensive to maintain.

In order to avoid of any of those feelings. i chose to keep my e46 after buying the e92.
The e46 still puts a great smile every time i drive it. In addition, it still is a great track car to drive.
to me, the e92 is different comparing to, but not better than the e46.

Both are great cars.

I used to miss the E46 M3 for the first few months that I was driving this car. Then I got a set of PSS on the rear and the rest was history. Now I have PSS all around with wider than stock set up and I can't think of one thing the E46 does better than this car.

I miss the E36; the torque, the transmission, the Vader seats. I bet the car would seem really primitive compared to the E92 though. Probably would be great as a beater, track car, although I note TxFeatFan's post that it probably would be painful to maintain - although not nearly as bad as a used E46, which had ridiculous maintenance costs.

Eh... I had a e46 m3 at one point. The e92 to me just demolishes it in every department.

The wife just didnt want to move on, she gets attached to her cars. So on our vacation I sold her car to a friend. Boy was she pissed when we got back. But I bought her a new one, now she is attached to that car and does not look back. As for me, I find myself looking for a white E36 sedan. Especially a have a complete LS1 swap sitting here at the shop. Did not want to sell the E36 but I had too. So yes I miss it. Makes it hard too that I see it almost everyday.
Btw if i had to pick one, E90 all the way.

Roomate has a e46 M, so we can just swap if we'd like for a day or two. Its a sick car and its immaculate.
They are two very different cars.
Wish we had a 1M in the house too. Well, I wish we had one of every M ever.

I really don't miss my E46 at all... it was fun, but I'm so used to the E9x now.

I miss all of my cars. I sold my E30, E36 & E46 M3s with one year. I kind of regret it. They were special.

i never owned an E46 m3 and still think about getting one in addition to the e90 but also want a z4m coupe and a gt3. my bank account cant support this and my garage aint big enough so i just stick with the e90 the best all arounder there is.

my E36 was supercharged and was pretty much a track car pretending to be a grocery getter. don't get me wrong - I LOVE my E90. I do miss the cool noises and "raw" feeling the E36 provided. I would like to rock a clean E30 next. :-)
