What fuse is for the interior ambiance door/shift orange lights?

I noticed the other night my interior ambiance lights (orange lights along the doors, ash tray and shift knob light) weren't lit. The orange lights for the front/rear map lights, EDC buttons, iDrive controller menu button all light up though as does the radio/HVAC orange backlights. I searched and only found some issues with the Bimmian LED's, however, mine are 100% stock. I checked the following fuses:

61, 77, 62, 07

Everything else seems fully functional, any ideas on fuse number?

headlights are on and it's dark out when they're not coming on.

I now have the same issue. Lights on ambient door, steering wheel, shift knob and window switches don't come on. Anyone else with ideas?

I should have followed up on this... I switched to a lit ZHP knob, the wires were bunched up at the top of the knob and eventually shorted out over time as the insulation became torn from abrasion. The interior lighting circuit is not externally fused, but rather is controlled by an electrical module. That module "fries" itself after 5 circuit shorts. This didn't take long in my case.

I acted dumb and the dealer gave me a new OEM shift knob, replaced the module and recoded, took several hours. I was lucky.

i have the same issue now. i checked my fuses and connections to the footwell module. i even reset the footwell module via tool32. at this point i'm not sure what else to do.

the ambient light for steering wheel buttons, the interior doors, window switches, and radio do not light up. everything else like HVAC, dct knob, map lights, idrive work fine. completely baffled at this point. maybe my FRM module is toast?

edit: it's possible i missed some fuses. if there are any suggestions i'm up for them. thanks in advance.

ok fixed it. i used tool32 again and reset the FRM short circuit fault via job "_reset_kurzschluss_sperre" except this time i got desperate and reset the entire list below. i initially only reset "0x16 interior lighting" which didn't work. it must have been something else that was preventing the FRM from turning on the ambient lighting.

i also had code 9CBB which was the short circuit fault in the FRM but it doesn't tell you exactly what it's referring to. attempting to clear it in INPA did nothing and only went away after i did a reset via tool32.

hopefully someone finds this info useful in the future.
