Tapping rearview mirror wiring for radar detector?

I'm looking at a kit from a company called Rogue Radar Mount (http://rogueradarmount.com) for doing this. This seems a lot cleaner than running wires and tapping the fuse box. Has anyone tried it? I'm wondering what wire tapping options are in there.

How do you remove the trim around the rearview mirror mount to get to the wiring? I have the Automatic High Beam sensor there too, which may complicate things.
