WGI lap time

Hi everyone. I have a question for track junkies who take their e9x m3 to WGI. I have been there about 12 times with my previous e46m3 and my current track car 135i. I also have e92 m3with DCT which is a garage queen right now but i have decided to take her to WGI at least once or twice a year. Its a great daily driver but i hear that its a great track car as well. The reason i never tracked this car before is its pretty heavy and more expensive to track than 135i. Anyway, my question is what is the great lap time for this car at WGI with minor mods(castrol SRF fluid, track pads, r-comp. tires)? I never timed my lap times with e46 m3 but my best time for 135i (coilovers, c. plates, -3f,-2.2 r, srf, dtc pads, stock engine) was 2:15. Its pretty good for this car with the mods i have but what about e92 m3? Also what is the speed at the end of the backstraight? My 135i goes 140 before the bus stop.

I was doing consistant 2.16's on street rubber(Nitto NT05's).in traffic which were the only ones timed.I have a Stopteck 380/355 BBK and was running Pagid RS29's all the way round with stock alignment and stock ZCP suspension.I know I could have gone quicker but one of the rules of the days we were at was no crossing the outside white lines so there was a lot left on the table for sure.I am seeing about 8200 in 5th with my DCT so I would guess a little over 140 mph going into the bus stop.I love the Glen

With a bone stock DCT M3 with brake safety upgrades on r-compounds, my guess is you'll see something in the 2:13-2:17 range depending on the conditions if you are getting about that in a 135 with modified suspension (and less weight as you mentioned in the other thread?).

Gearhead, i love the Glen too. There is really nothing like flying flat out up through the esses. This is my fav. track by far and if /when i track my m3, its going to be the Glen.

Lucid, i think you are right about 2:12-2:17 range for stock m3 with minor upgrades. We will see. As i said before, my 135i is pretty quick with susp. mods and weight reduction. I am waiting for Cobb AP tune that is still in development for n55 engine and with catless downpipe plus bigger intrcooler it should be a little track monster. Will test it next year i guess.
