Installed the Macht Schnell Stage I Air Intake Kit

Today I Installed the Macht Schnell Stage I Air Intake Kit. I really wasn't sure what to expect from just a filter and air scoops. I originally thought I would think "damn, waste of $160". Nope. But I have to say WOW. I can feel a noticeable difference from 3k all the way through the power band. Also not to forget the SOUND... Engine is noticeably louder, def increase in power. Completely worth it!!!! Feels like I did much more than just an air filter and scoops. They definitely weren't kidding with the added horsepower. Feels more like 10+hp than just the stated 6-8hp. But even if i'm crazy, the sound of the air pummeling into the airbox is just awesome!!!

honestly I can't recall. I think I may have gotten the dry one. It's an option when you purchase it.

I definitely heard a sound difference after i installed MS air filter. It is very obvious. There is a growl when you press the throttle, especially when you are in a higher gear.

Lmao. Haha! Comeback of the week.

Sound is so awesome, and the power increase at the low end is totally worth it. So happy I added the scoops. So glad I got it!

I'm on OEM exhaust.

All MS filters are oiled type, and come pre-oiled, ready to install.

Glad you are happy with your new kit!

I am impressed that someone can tell the difference between a 1.7% (7HP, mean of 6-8) and a 2.4% (10HP) increase in power. That is one super sensitive ass!

I have the RPI scoops but no filter, the engine definitely sounds louder at high RPM. My ass cannot tell the difference.

Looking at the photos, the MS scoops seem to have gaps in the side of their scoops, whereas RPi scoop have no gaps - doesn't this let the scooped air out?

Are they installed correctly? The RPI scoops are attached between the intake schnorkel and top of the grille are plastic at the front, rather than suspended.

If the gaps don't, the giant hole in the hood will

Didn't someone point out the scoops actually reduce power recently?
