Front undergrill cowl scuff from curb

How many others have scuffed the front cowl ( undergrill) from hitting a curb? I thought I wouldn't do it on my second E92 again but I did. It is so easy to do because it is so low. when parking. Really can't be seen unless you look under the car from the front. Is it really worth getting it painted?

yours truly with my 'ol ZHP. I learned to judge it, and became good at it.
But now the problem, i do the same with my jetta. People look at me weird: look how far he parked from the curb. It became as a habit.

+1. Happened when I first got the car, but now am pretty good at judging the correct distance. I wouldn't bother getting it re-painted.

i look at it just the opposite. how stupid are people regadless of what type of car they drive they shouldnt risk parking close to a curb just in case it might rub. almost everyone in the world it seems cares nothing for their car and just run it right up on there and hope it wont rub. pet peeve of mine that i cant help notice.

Consider it "christening" the car. I've scraped mine on my own driveway. Leave it alone. Nobody knows it there but you. If you leave it, nothing else will happen to the car... I promise.

Maybe get some kind of lip for the front if it bothers you?

Been there, done that - several times!! I know you cann't see them, but every time I wash/wax the car I wipe over them and am reminded again that those scrap marks are there. Oh well...

Just did it yesterday on a driveway!!! +1 on what PhillyNate said. I'm leaving it alone and nothing else will happen to it. If I get it painted it will get f*cked up again!

Thanks everyone for the responses.

I agree very few will ever see it and I am sure it will happen again.

I don't EVER think about this when I take out my Jeep Rubicon. But 0-60 in 9 seconds
