I am sooo interested but I can't justify the cost for the 3 or 4 track days I do a year. I remember the upgraded aluminum radiator I had in my e36m made the worlds difference. Especially since the shitty oem radiator had a plastic flange the big coolant hose connected too. That would get brittle and break and end up with a disconnected radiator hose and leave you stranded. Not to mention tiny little pieces of plastic in your radiator blocking flow if you were lucky enough to have enough flange left to put the big hose back on. I had this happen exactly 9 times between 4 oem radiators. I gave up and bought aftermarket.

After seeing some E9X M3s wilt at the track under the heat and seeing some threads here...this might be must for any summer time track days.

So which would be more effective in cooling the engine? Increasing Oil or Radiator capacity?

Just had the oil cooler installed yesterday. Actual installation took about 5 minutes, it fit perfectly. Hitting the track with it on Monday, will see how much of a difference it makes. Have an oil temp stack gauge so should get a pretty good idea of the difference. Here's the thread with some install pics

That's a good question. Ultimately the two systems are related and it makes sense to upgrade both simultaneously. If only one is possible, I'd start by upgrading the oil cooler. From my experiences oil temps have a way of getting out of control faster than water temps during aggressive driving.

That is one sick nasty Z4....jeezussss...I would gladly take one for free, haha.

Do they offer this for the E92/E90 M3? I'm curious what modifications one would have to do to make that badboy fit...

Man...must be nice, haha. I assume it takes a bit of work to make that fit and I don't even want to know the price of that.

When I get a chance to install it, I'll show you guys my incoming CF Airbox for the E46

There is a guy a few posts up from you that posted his impressions.

I have the M24 oil cooler and radiator. Both install fairly easily. Since I upgraded at about 800mi from new, I do not have much comparison to go by. My car still hovers around 210-212 on the guage. It will also heat up on mountain climbs in the heat (example, heading up hill from Vegas to SD). However, the car cools down remarkably fast. I have yet to get the car on the track but I hope to soon.

They should have made an oil and power steering cooler in a single unit.
Anyone who tracks knows the power steering fluid is a problem.
