Unhappy Help with extended leather needed. Raised wrinkles?

It's been HOT here in the DC area, and I just noticed that around my glove box and especially around the driver's cup holder as well as the key fob insert there are raised drink wrinkles. I rushed to the local store purchased some lexol conditioner and tried to work it in and it still doesn't look right.

Any experience with this type of wrinkling? My seats are in great condition.

I will try to post picture later today (around lunch time).

I have been procrastinating a visit to DJ Mayo, might need to give me a call.

I saw an 08 e90 while I was out this weekend, the car had full leather as well and it def didn't have the wrinkles...

I don't know if anything can be done but it definetly feels different from the leather on the seats...it's hard to describe but it doesn't even feel right, even after I have applied a few different conditioners.

I thought maybe it was water damage from a condensating drink (cup holder) but it's in oher areas that don't get wet...

Yeah, considering some of the other cost cutting measures they have taken (i.e. vinyl sun shades-even chevy mailbu has cloth!) my guess is they cut back on the extended leather quality. Seats they had to leave just bacause they wouldn't hold up but they probably figure they can get a way with it on the dash...

I'm going to condition it and try to smooth it out over the next couple of days and try to get the car professionally detailed by the end of august.

Let me know how you make out.

MY 09 here, Oct 08 delivery with Extended Leather. I definitely have those wrinkles in the spots you've mentioned. I think its just the wear and tear of the leather.

Just took delivery of a new 2011.75 yesterday and it has wrinkles around those edges. I figured that's how it's supposed to look...don't know that much can be done about it if not.

Conditioning the leather won't take those wrinkles out unfortunately. Is that portion of the leather exposed to extended periods of sunlight?

I'm not sure how to answer that, I don't think so...my windows are tinted and my car is in the shade or indoors for the most part.

There are parts of the leather that are not exposed to any light that are showing similiar characteristics.
