EVEN IF you could get 3hp gain... you won't feel that on a heavy car

just get it for small difference in sound, small throttle improvement, and the fact that you have a filter mod :P

It says in the article that the M3 put down 278hp...

That's what an E46 M3 puts to the wheels.. Somethings not right.

Same answer.... Choose your favorite company and go with them. They are all basically the same. In fact some of them are exactly the same but with a different logo on them and a different price.

I just installed the MS Stage 2 from EAS and I love it. This is the only mod I have noticed a feel in power increase. The mid range 3800-5000 is greatly increased, which is nice for the daily driving passing situation.

Also, I was sad that I lost the stock engine whine when I got my exhaust installed...now it is back and I am very happy with the sound the engine now makes.

Thumbs up for the MS, plus its almost totally sleeper using the stock airbox.

I agree with EuroTrip, the Macht Schnell S2 intake (along with MS pulley and Akrapovic exhaust) made great gains on our project M3:

Plus, the intake growl is simply intoxicating.

I got the elite that came i
With its own air box and used thoik filter. Pretty sick set up. Also came with the air scoops. The sound this makes is addicting. Sounds meaner.

go with the MS stg 2 setup if your willing to fork up that much for an intake. But it sure does look n sound good. If your cheap like me, just get a K&N filter for 60 buckaroos

i never tried the MS Stage 2, MS has great products! i have MS Scoops and the stage 1 (filter swap) and i loved it, then I ended up getting a aFe Stage 2 pro dry, and the pick up is sligtly better, but the sound is amazing. will upload a clip of it asap.

*edit* uploaded the stage 2 aFe intake cruising on 7th gear..

Just drop in a K&N filter and call it a day. MS doesn't even offer a recharge kit for their air filter.

Kitw dynod a AFE Stg 2 intake and got 6rwhp gain throughout the whole rpm range, not just peak. Does it deliver 18rwhp like they said...well no. It does make some hp though, I for one like the part and it sounds GREAT!!

BTW, Im in Japan and this Japanese keyboard is giving me metacarpul tunnel syndrome.
