Detailing Socal Recommendations

I would like to get my car fully detailed, exterior and interior. Does anybody have any recommendations of a shop in socal? Willing to drive for the right person. It is Jerez Black so it needs some love

I highly recommend Richard Lin at ShowCarDetailing over in Anaheim. He has his own shop and an extremely friendly, patient guy to work with. I took my Jet Black car for a full paint correction and OptiCoat Pro.

He posts tons of before/after pics on Facebook. He seems very popular with the Tesla crowd.

If you have any questions feel free to ask!

You can try detailing.com in Lake Forest, I'm sure they would do a fine job.

Or Tuan at Glossworks, he's actually recommended by Richard Lin, I think he's over in SGV.

Disclaimer : when you say detail, I'm thinking full paint correction/polish/coating.

Thank you for your recommendations.

Yes I mean full detailing, something I can make an annual or so event and maintain it. I also want to go to somebody that has experience with the leather in these cars. It shows wear too easily.

Thanks Charlie! I gave them a call and set the appointment up. I will post a review and pictures here after. I am going for their complete interior and exterior detail.

Showcar Detailing is in Whispering Bomb, which is the monthly Roundel flyer the LA chapter sends out. He seems VERY detailed, but I'm sure it'll cost you.

Rhino was very good when I went.
In the end, I prefer mobile detailers because it's so much easier. I know it's not quite as good a job, but good enough for me. There's someone on the Wash/Wax?Detail subforum here in SoCal who's very popular.

I will probably end up getting mobile monthly after Rhino gets done. Like I said, I need a very good detail/paint correction right now so I would prefer the car to be at their shop where they have all the tools they need.

If you want paint correction, then go Showcar Detailing.
Let us know how it goes.
Didn't know Rhino did mobile. He said he hated Mobile a couple years ago when I was there.

ShowCarDetailing has their own shop, definitely call ahead for an appointment since they're usually really busy.

Usually they'll give you a free consultation, and do a test spot, and give you an estimate of how long it'll take. He kept my car for two days for a full correction and OptiCoat

I did visit a couple other places and chat with other detailers before going with them. I really appreciated Richard took the time to explain everything and I didn't feel pressured. So I felt really comfortable with him and leaving my car

Fun fact he was featured in YouTube video by Larry Kosilla of AmmoNYC

Can you pm me how much you paid for the paint correction and opticoat? I just want to have an idea of the range. I know it will vary. How is the opticoat holding up?

Whatever you do DO NOT GO TO JIMMY LUCCI AT LUCCI ELITE.

He is not cheap and used to be very very good and several of my friends have been going to him for many years but lately he has ran into some sort of personal issues which are effecting his business.

My buddy paid him up front to detail and clear bra his car and jimmy had the car for 2 weeks without touching it. He had to threaten a lawsuit to get his money back.

Jimmy also detailed my other friends car and after my buddy spoke to two of the employees at the shop he found out they did not do the work that he paid them to do. Did not cquartz it, etc.

These were both $1500-$2000 details and return customers.

Detailing.com is affiliated with Jimmy Lucci at Lucci Elite (they are in the same business park). BE VERY VERY CAREFUL see my post above.

I buy stuff from detailing.com all the time, but haven't ever gotten any work done there.
I thought Jimmy Lucci used to work out of there but does work somewhere else.

Anyway, I've been back to ShowCarDetailing several times for detailing my car. Including damage I've done myself to my own car. :P

I go to Lavaggio in Agoura. They do a spectacular job. Every time I go, I have the crappiest car there. Usually full of exotics. They serve lunch too.
