Will M3 have Runflats??
Sorry if this has been covered but I want to know for sure!
...I do see a BMW mobility kit listed in the standard equipment in another post. Thanks. Last edited by torzeck; 04-11-2007 at 09:41 PM. Reason: misspellings |

Run flats.
No, it won't. They would not give you the M Mobility kit if it did.

M Mobility kit
Same as with the E46 M3 - 12v air compressor with injectible flat fix.

No, Run flats would completely ruin the handling of the car. I test drove a 335i with run flats and it just slides about all over the place if you happen to stray over any white lines.

But I'd much rather have the mobility kit than RFTs. And a spare just adds weight. ![]()

And E36 M3 has a full-size spare in the trunk. Why would you want a donut?

I remember reading in Roundel (BMWCCA magazine) that the M3 will not have run flats (but instead will have the special application Michelins) and that they had attempted to put non-run flats on a e9x car and it did not handle quite right because the suspension was set up specifically for run flats.
