Does this belong to my front bumper?
I had my front bumper repainted due to some light scratches and I found this rubber strip on the bottom of the bumper that wasn't there before the car went into the shop. Anyone know if this belongs to my bumper?

They didn't put it on correctly then, it's too far to the right. Or it's suppose to be more to the right...? Last edited by eNCore; 07-18-2011 at 08:41 PM. |

i will, however, my car being lemans blue makes it harder to see than your alpine white allows. I will still do it over lunch if i can get decent lighting for it.

Is yours a rubber strip? Kind of doesn't look like a rubber strip from your picture.

I believe it is #25 that attaches to the open square inside #20 in this post, I could be wrong its been a while since I've been under the car.

I believe this is the rubber seal and they did not know where it belongs and just stuck it anywhere. Look inside this box towards the rear of the car. This seal fills that little gap you see in motortrends photo with the hoses. The only reason I know this is after I hit a large raccoon this seal was laying across the support bars. Good luck

See the link in post #10, then look at post #3. I believe it is part #25. This can be ordered from Tischer.
Like I said, a couple of months ago I hit a rather large raccoon and when I looked under the car I saw this seal laying across the short plastic bars. I figured it could only go in that one spot. Maybe I'm wrong but why would there be an air gap that leads to all those hoses? |
