Unhappy 836 miles and run over a screw

How wonderful! Not even to 1200 mile service and my TPM goes off and I pull over and see a huge screw (with washer) lodged into the center of my right rear tire. They are Pirelli P0s (I have ZCP). Any advice on the most painless way to get this replaced? My neighbor has a m3 e93 and he claims I should only go to the dealer for replacement because it's such a specialized car. Is that true?

You can go to any tire shop, but I would do it at the dealer. Happened to me twice, and dealer was cheaper than the tire shop for me. Just take it to the dealer, they will take the tire off and plug/patch it and you're done!

Ouch !! I'd go to the dealer...maybe you have a road hazard warranty on the tires ?!?

If you're not tracking those tires, just plug/patch it.

No hazard insurance. Is a patch safe on a high performance tire?

My dad plugged the tire for me. How fast can you safely go with a plugged tire?

You should really get it patched too. People have said America's Tire will do it for free, but I haven't done it myself there.

Let me get this straight... You are swapping out parts designed by some of the top engineers in the world because some guys sponsored by a company told you it's "better??" But when you ask the same guy about tracking, "oh no, I have a kid now" or "I just detailed my car." or "i just got new tires."

Not to say it doesn't suck but could be worse. I got rear ended sitting at a red light at 2k miles.
