Question Weird Grind Noise at Slow speed when engaging clutch

Hey Guys,

I just bought my 6mt e92 m3. (This is my first manual car I have ever owned) Have had it about 2 weeks, and getting use to driving it now however I noticed one sound that seems to be bothering me.

Example: Lets say I'm in first gear going about 5mph leaving a gas station, and the car in front of me stops. I go to clutch in all the way and I hear the grind.

Example 2: I'll be slowing down to stop at a red light or stop sign, lets say going around 20 mph. As Im slowing down, I'll go to clutch in all the way to shift to N and it will make the grind noise.

Any idea WHY this is going on? What it is? Or any other 6mt owners have similar issue?

Thanks in advance guys! Hope I can figure this out...

First of all, you're mistaking CLUNK with grind. And second of all, why didn't you search? There're a MILLION threads on this issue since '08. And yes, it's normal.
