I always drive speed limit usually. Only place you'll see me messing around is on freeway onramps, then Ill slow down and just drive 75-80 max. Id had my share of tickets in my teenage years and its a waste of time/money and the little excitement is not worth it. More importantly I understand this car will easily kill you and/or others if not driven maturely. The car gets to 100mph like its nothing and keeps going and going.

I simply use my power for safety overtake trucks like a sling shot.

My original M3 saved my live when I overtook a truck the driver wired into my lane and almost pushed me over the edge in the mountains. He was asleep on the wheel the 333HP of my e46 saved me ... so yes I use the power to get out of the way

I just drove close to 500 miles last night on my way back from Maryland. I made the trip in about 7 1/2 hours with a couple of short stops. I wasn't the fastest on the road but drove around 10-15 over most of the time. I find if you go much faster you stand out and are bound to get caught.

I kept pace with a couple of cars from a Prius with NY plates to a Carrera GTS also from NY. A guy in a S2000 wanted a race on the Merrit but I did not oblige. I mostly just stayed alert for a-hole drivers/drunks while keeping an eye out for deer.

Our cars need to be driven with respect but also need to be driven. I save most of the spirited driving for the track or quite back road.

Only 15 over? On drives like that I usually go 25 over. But I do live in the Midwest... I drove to and from Chicago in my cadillac last weekend and the entire drive was almost 6 hours. If I had gone the speed limit it would have been 8. It's also extremely irritating for me not to speed when I'm going on a road that doesn't curve in the slightest for at least three miles straight.

I certainly hit triple digits when conditions allowed. What really pissed me off and slowed me down were all the morons in the passing lane going 5 over the posted limit. My drive from Boston to southern Maryland crosses through something like 70 percent of the population of the east coast.

I got tired of tickets, but I also don't drive a luxury sports car. I guess that means I grew up.

Nobody in Trinidad drives slow! haha

Valid observation. I dont push the Lp560-4 around town or on the local highways in the bay area (101, 280, etc.). But out on the california backroads during a weekday when people are at work, or on highway 50 (the loneliest road in america), or the track, your observation would be incorrect. Its just a matter of where and when you come across "these decent sports cars".

There is a reason why I acquired a M3 for a DD

to be honest, if i drove a ferrari or a lambo, i wouldnt drive fast; rather, i would drive slowly and show my car off to the people on the streets. Just saying.

Its an interesting phenomena that when you race around on city streets like your arse is on fire, in your mind everyone is thinking how cool and racey you must look in your beautiful M3 (or whatever)...sadly most everyone is thinking: who is that tosser driving like a moron on city streets...(which was me as a young driver).
Now I make a point of driving carefully and considerately in all built up areas...when the roads are clear then and only then do I run the car to its limit.
Becoming sensible.... that is the curse of being mature.

I drive moderately, the public streets isn't a place for racing.

Since I got my M3, I find that I drive faster. I believe that I am safe and drive based on road and traffic conditions, but I do find myself driving 80+ on the freeway now. I would not have done that in my other more pedestrian vehicles, even my E39 540.

No tickets yet. I think I have been lucky and it's just a matter of time. Or it could be that I exercise discretion about where and when I exceed posted limits. Or I have been lucky!
