M3 and 993 Porsche Carrera cruise up Big Thompson Canyon

Here is a short little video of a 1995 Porsche 993 Carrera and my 2010 M3 cruising up the Big Thompson Canyon. This was good timing as a snowstorm is moving into the area and good drives likes this may be gone for several months.

Why so grumpy!? This intoxicating high rev motor should leave nothing but smiles. 😆

Great road and looked like a fun drive.

I would encourage you to use S mode next time... Driving in D mode is great for traffic, but oh so boring on the twisties.

I also noticed your hands were at 10&2 for almost the entire video. You've also got a lot more range of motion and control with your hands positioned at 9 & 3 as opposed to 10 & 2. Try changing for the next drive. Just some constructive criticism after watching the video

Thanks for posting. Would love to see the next drive. Cheers.

Agreed! I was pretty serious on the way up. I lightened up on the way down.

This was my first real outing with the car so I was pretty focused.

Thanks for pointing out the hand position. I know to drive at 10&2, but this wheel is so darn comfortable at 9&3! LOL

It is always strange to see yourself on video and see all of your own bad habits.

9&3 is correct. I was pointing out that 10&2 is what I observed during most of the video.

Upload some more videos soon! Cheers.

New videos coming soon. Typing on my mobile...transposed 10&2 vs 9&3. I race a Formula Ford and you can only do 9&3 on that wheel!
