This poll is not asking if you see fish symbols or crosses on BMWs that are driving on the road. This is a question about whether you are Christian or not.

It's Good Friday. It seems like an appropriate tiime to ask the question.

Peter denied Jesus Christ three times before the rooster crowed. He lived to regret that, but he also lived to have a significant ministry as an Apostle of Jesus Christ.

If you are Christian, be a witness to the resurrection. He lives!
If you are uncertain, ask God. And listen.

There must be a few more e90post members who confess that Jesus Christ is Lord. (It's still a new poll).

Time to watch that "Passion of the Christ" cry, confess and beg for forgiveness before the big Holiday (Easter)

BTW do people know that Easter is more then just bunnies and egg hunt?

I'll probably watch The Passion Sunday night.

I find it difficult to enjoy anything along with the kids about the Easter Bunny and eggs. But I try. A little.

I just got back from our Good Friday service, they do a service in conjuction with spots from the Passion. I bought the movie when it came out, and I don't think I've watched it all the way through since I've bought it.

This is kinda silly...but if Jesus autocrossed...what would he drive?

I like to picture Jesus driving a white Lotus Exige. Something light and powerful...out power sliding against Vettes and Vipers.

If he autocrossed with a BMW...you'll bet it will be a sleeper...just some light forged 18" rims, coilovers, and LSD...he wouldn't be showy and go w/ aero kits or with a BBK...just upgraded pads, brake fluids and lines.

How did Easter ever get a bunny in it? And what's up with the eggs? Rabbits don't lay eggs.

Yes - The Lord has blessed me with the opportunity to drive one, and I thank Him every day for it.

wouldn't a person who believed in Jesus follow His teachings? Would you buy a 50K car and spend all you time keeping it clean and posting on the forum. Shouldn't you help the poor (with your time and money) and not worry about the worldly things in life. Its easy the say you are blessed but takes faith to be able to bless others. Just a thought....

I go to church a few times per year. Kids go to a private christian school although that choice was more to do with them getting a good education than getting a daily dose of religion.

American public schools clearly aren't doing their job as is evident from the spelling and grammar seen on E90Post

Jesus occasionally logs in to e90POST and likes to read the Vendor Reviews.
Gives him a preview of who to buy from and who can go to hell.

He's also posted a DIY mod.
Couple of torx screws, some carbon fiber and the power of the Almighty Father.
Result: An extra 12000hp instantly.

Happy Easter Weekend - Christians and non-Christians everywhere.

And to the guy who posted wondering what Jesus would autocross in...Dude.
Jesus knows crosses. Give Him a cross with a kick ass suspension and He can do miracles....

There has been a lot said and written about the Easter Bunny and eggs. It seems to all be related to fertility.

Ishtar had something to do with an ancient religion that observed a holiday around the time of Resurrection Sunday.

When people of different religions convert, often they still want to enjoy the same holidays. The meaning of the holiday changes. They still get the time off.

Those who observe Easter for the bunnies and eggs, when they become a Christian, those things are generally recognized as a false relationship to Christ.

It's like with Christmas. Although St. Nickolas was a good Catholic priest, or monk, or something, secular tradition morphed him into Santa Claus. Then came the reindeer and elves. Especially as a child, all this is great fun with the gifts under the tree.

Once a Christian, these things may pass in their value. The nativity is the real deal. Read the gospel according to Luke.

Modern-day Easter celebrations have origins that pre-date Christianity. How, you might ask, can a Christian holiday have traditions older than the religion itself? The word Easter derives from the name of an ancient goddess. Ishtar was known as the goddess of love and fertility in Babylonian society, and others called her Astarte. Eventually, the name changed to Ostara, which is "Eastre" in Old English.

Eggs were once to Easter what Chocolate is to Valentine's Day. Eggs symbolize birth and fertility in many cultures, and in medieval Europe, eggs were forbidden during Lent, making them a prized treat for children on Easter. Eggs were painted bright colors to resemble the sun and springtime. Lovers often exchanged eggs, similar to Valentine's Day cards today.

Which came first, the Easter Basket or the Eggs? In ancient Europe, eggs of different colors were taken from the nests of various birds and used to make talismans. The eggs were often ritually eaten. The search through the woods for eggs gradually evolved into the Easter egg hunt, while painted eggs eventually replaced wild birds' eggs.

I found this article on the net. Something I already knew since I study with a Bible Scholar (Shepherdschapel.com). Christians wanted to seperate themselves from Jews, instead of Passover, they adopted (wrongly IMO) Easter, which was a spring fertility holiday (eggs, bunnys). Most Christians say the eggs etc. are for renewal (because someone told them that, they did no studying for themselves),and most are also ignorant of HISTORY. I celebrate Passover and I am a Christian.(Christ is our Passover not our Ishtar) The Bible says "My pulpit will be polluted" = Christians roll fertility eggs to a fertility Goddess on the Church lawn. I guess many still know not what they do.
