If the city of Portland put half the effort into gang related shootings as they do shooting lasers from motorcycles, there wouldn't be much news to report. Public safety? Really??

I would love to know what these "cops" are being directed to do these days. I'm confident lofty quotas are in effect.

lol ... no offense, but I'm just goin to assume something happened to lead up to this post.

Portland cops seem pretty sneaky from what I've seen around the forums, but personally, I haven't had any issues...

Portland is way more aggressive with tickets than cops up here in WA.

I haven't been nailed (yet), but I'm seeing these guys everywhere now... especially on I5 from Kruse into downtown. Also saw them hunting in a pack parked on one of the overpasses leaving downtown on westbound 26. There must have been 6, taking turns zapping people coming up the hill.

I think I've heard you say you come in on 43.. Aside from being a bumpy ride, how is it on the cop front?

I take Boones Ferry - Terwilliger - I-5 going downtown from LO. Haven't seen much enforcement. They are occasionally watching I-5 south from downtown through the construction zone now. I often take Barbur home instead of I-5 and you have to watch that, but haven't seen anything excessive.

Look out on 26 coming down the hill past Cedar Hills as well as further out, on Jackson School Rd bridge. They usually set up with two or three shooting laser hidden and send out the chase bike to pick you off while the shooter lines up his next victim.

Jackson School road bridge is particularly sneaky as they duck under the bridge railing and shoot at you between the railing and the bridge almost completely hidden from view!

I see cops every morning near Salmon Creek area on I205 where it connects with I5.

Thanks for the heads up - will watch for that when I head to the beach.
