The article says they expect MSRP to be around 60K USD. So much for a low price when you consider that this car will need a minimum of 8K in options PLUS taxes and fees before you leave the lot.

I agree on the exterior--looks good in red. I would not hold out too much hope for the interior. 2-tone seats would be nice, but unlikely.

Who said initial pics will be in Alpine White? Nobody.

There is still "in depth" press release to come in the next months (incl. new pics), and internet M3 microsite, and official catalogue, and dealer brochures, and wallpapers etc.

License plate in bumper? Wait for M3 CSL.

Scott´s claim I recall is that BMW did a major photo and video shoot of the new M3 in white in a couple places, a famous road in Dubai and Iceland (something like that, maybe I got the places wrong but this was the point). He did not even say the brochure will have a white vehicle.

Man, get real, this is LIGHTER than the 335i (3571 lb) by nearly 100lb! This a a great accomplishment given the things that ADD weight compared to the 335i and it gives this beast a SUBTANTIALLY better power to weight ratio than the 911S! I, myself am STOKED.
