I love the Caymen S but for it's price you should also look into a low milege used 911 turbo if you want a beast

I sell both Porsche and BMW. The Cayman S will feel very underpowered compared to the e92 M3. Also braking...getting out of a comp package e46 M3 and then hitting the brakes on the Cayman felt weak when we conducted a comparison. That means $8k for ceramics on the Porsche if you want to compete with 14.2" brakes on the e92. The Cayman has a significant weight advantage, but during another comparison we conducted the even heavier 335 coupe (automatic) walked the Cayman. Short gears hurt the Cayman because the the twin turbo just kept pulling away. Though it's still speculation at this point I think the M3 with V8 hands down no comparison over the Cayman S. If you still want a Cayman, I'll give you a great deal. It is mid engine and a blast to drive.
