Lol. What a bullshit move at 4:50 by the Ferrari! Either upset he couldn't lose then pass you, or just an idiot. But man is he fast on the straights.

Loved the video, thanks for posting man! I was interested in this car when you posted pics and everything. But seeing it now on the track, I'm really a fan of it.

Great driving indeed.

Is this a track day? Passing seems for be "free for all" and a bit on the unsafe side, i.e. passing in corners or 3 wide in US track days is a big no-no...

Why do you think it was bullshit at 4:50? I think it was racing?
Although the OP might disagree but the OP clearly had the car and skills to take the Fcar...

Because it wasn't a race, it was some sort of open session. I agree that if it were a race, then the move is legit. In an open session like that, to get in front, and then immediately get on the brakes is really dangerous IMO.

Ahh ok. I thought they were doing a race but I agree about open session. No sense taking chances...
The OP did some excellent driving
Love the sound of the M3!

It's the Ferrari driver's complex that nobody should be faster than them...

I'll have to partially agree there. There are quite a few owners in the FCA that spoil it for the rest of us Fcar drivers\owners. The rest of us appreciate other makes\models.. Especially a good race (even if that means we are beaten)

I'm not saying all Ferraritisti, as my buddy Collin has a new 458 Italia and he is as nice (and fast) as they come, but the dudes who show up to track days and spend all of the morning sessions putting painters tape on the front of their cars only to be a rolling road block in the afternoon are a bunch of spanners.

I have even tried talking to some of these dudes in between sessions, and they look at me like I have three heads or something. Thanks for being one of the good ones!

I was thinking the same thing! So much traffic for an open session.

I think people need to realize it's the driver more than the car when it comes to track driving. That's a lot of trust in other drivers in that vid.
In the US, we're told to stay "on line" and let the passing car go "off line." Guess it doesn't work that way there?

Great driving by OP

Let me get this straight... You are swapping out parts designed by some of the top engineers in the world because some guys sponsored by a company told you it's "better??" But when you ask the same guy about tracking, "oh no, I have a kid now" or "I just detailed my car." or "i just got new tires."

excellent driving. i think the ferrari made a really bad move to cut you off like that just to get on the brakes. if this was a normal lapping day, that would earn him a black flag right away.
