on another note, the beta is really quite stable from what I've noticed (much more than the iOS4 beta that almost drove me insane). Notifications are rad and a very welcomed changed. The only real bug I've encountered is with text messages as they tend to send and receive multiples (sent an unhappy one to my sales advisor, and afraid it was sent 5 times and they think i'm irate

)

Also, once you upgrade, you cannot downgrade back to os4.

actually, you can downgrade. the way to do it is to download tinyumbrella on your computer. then, you click the button that says save shsh and that'll allow you to downgrade. same method used by jailbreakers to save their info incase they upgrade

Found another bug on my way to work: when you're playing music through the USB in your car and a notification comes through, they music stops all together

You don't even need tinyumbrella to downgrade. I already tried the ios 5 beta, but went back to 4.3 because Netflix/Air Video/HBO Go pretty much any video streaming app didn't work with it. All you have do is plug your phone into your computer, start itunes, turn off the phone, reboot into DFU mode (While off and plugged in with itunes on hold the home and power button for 10 seconds, then release the power button and continue holding the home button until you get a prompt from itunes). Then just do a restore to 4.3. Very simple and easy.

But yes you're right. As long as Apple is signing the current IPSW version, no need for tinyumbrella

keep in mind that yes you can downgrade back to 4.3.3
BUT you can't downgrade your modem firmware
so if you are one of the lucky ones on 1.59.01
you would lose your ability to unlock
since only 1.59.01 is unlockable as of now

I use MyWi and My3G. I agree, those two things alone are worth JB to me as well. I also have intelliscreen, but looks like iOS 5 might mean I won't need that anymore. But MyWi and My3G are essential to me.
