follow the links in this thread and do that to a T - get it custom tuned by OE on a dynapack at 1.0cf and be there.

And make sure they screw with the dyno files so you get over 400! otherwise, what's the point?

get the full 3 section rpi exhaust and ess/rpi tune. Scoops, tune, and full exhaust was what the shop rpi e92 m3 was running at this last mfest...and it was killing it around the track...

They don't. This is the least area the car needs improvement.

I think lap times, 1/4 mile times, vbox numbers are all that matter. Theory and practice, as usual, don't always enjoy each others company

essentially to get near 400 rwhp, you need a quality tune, either different intake or high flow air filter, pulleys, and cat less exhaust...oh and 100 octane and a tune that preferably matches the 100 octane

given that we have around 340. lets say racing fuel and tune: that adds 40-50 so you're at around 385. pulley, another 10. air filter, 5 or so. cat less exhaust, maybe 20. so thats around 420 actually. take out the race fuel and have a regular tune and subtract 25hp which gets you at 400

With BMC drop in filter, Akrapovic Evo Exhaust and Evotech tune I expect to gain 40 whp. If the stock numbers are around 340 whp, my set-up puts only around 380 whp.

I'm curious how you guys find another 20 whp to break 400 whp just with bolt-ons.

Modifications don't add up like this in reality....max gain is usually 40whp from bolt ons/generIc tune...with the right bolt ons and custom tune it can even reach 50-60whp

start with a full exhaust. primary catdelete is very important then filter, scoops, and pully.. after you have all the bolt-ons then go ahead and tune the car.

Right. On a Dynapack. I'm sure this is just like the numbers that Drew put down on Church automotive's dyno.

My car baselined @ 340whp (same or less then dynojet) and final 407.7whp. 67.7whp gain. Make sure to tell Robert when you see him that my results are full of shit and dynapacks are garbage. That is why they are used exclusively by companies like Dinan.

I don't have control over church's dyno and/or correction factors, only mine.

Don't try to put this on Robert, the problem is the Dynapack. If you have a baseline at ~340whp, link it, I'd love to see it (I searched on your username in the dynobase and couldn't find it.) My S2000 dyno'd a full 12% higher on a Dynapack than a dynojet, same thing with my Evo X. It's fun to say my car was 240rwhp and 380awhp, but it doesn't mean it's true or comparable.

You'll notice that no NA, non-stroker Dynojet results are over 400whp. I know you like to think that Jeremy magically got more power out of your car than anyone else has gotten, but that doesn't mean it's true. According to your mod list you still have primary cats in place, which means either OE tuning is magically making more power than anyone else with those mods by a huge margin... which is possible, but highly unlikely, or something else is going on.

You'll also notice that Pencilgeek himself made 409 and 418rwhp on a dynojet, and 424 and 448rwhp on a dynapack. Yes, the tune changed, between them... but yeah.
