Road trip to IND

So I decided to finally get a supercharger for my car, and after tons of research I decided on the ESS 535 kit. But picking the right supercharger for me was the easy part... the hard part was to "sell" it to the wife.

Turns out... it was rather easy. My wife had only one condition: Have her students make a movie about it. You see, my wife teaches cinema studies, and she decided that this would be a great little project for her students.

So I'll be driving from Syracuse, New York all the way to IND with a small film crew (3-4 HD cameras, sound, lights, etc...) to document my search for more power. Working title: 'Guilty as Supercharged'.

My idea is to set-up some meets during my drive, and maybe during our 4 day stay in Chicago. The plan is to travel to IND and have the kit installed during the last week of July.

Anybody interested to meet up and talk shop? I'll be posting the route in the
next week, and I'd be stoked to meet some fellow m3post members and their modded cars.

And it looks like my good friend Steve who writes for WIRED magazine will be my co-pilot. The folks at IND are excited as well, and I really think this could be quite the awesome project.

Let me know if anybody is interested. Now, if you excuse me... I'm trying to convince the wife that I should get the most powerful kit.... to make an even better movie.

Awesome! Yeah, I would love to meet up with you... You're car is sick! IND has a couple ideas as well, but I'll let them post that.

I think u need a stock diff with the 575 cause u might have a problem putting the power down. Good Luck with ur road trip,should be a blast !!!!

congrats on the decision to go FI! you won't regret it. I have the ESS kit as well and was beating on it hard at the track yesterday in 95+ degree heat - took it like a champ. I'd definitely be up for a meet when you get to Chicago, so keep me posted on your plans. are you doing a painted manifold?

That's good to know... thanks! And yes, I'd love to meet up, I'll be updating this thread on a regular basis, and will send out PM's as well. I think I'll be doing the black edition manifold... but Brembo yellow would be sweet too.
