Headlight Polish
Just got the meguiars plastx kit with the drill attachment. My lights look quite pitted. Tried buffing for about twenty mins. No real difference. Anyone else had any results with this kit? I was trying to avoid wet sanding but I guess that may be the answer.

Takes wet sanding...start with a 600 to get the heavy pitting off...keep working your way up to about 3000. Use plenty of water. Then use Plast-X compound with a wool pad, then foam pad to finish. From then on you have to wax your headlights often or apply a sealant every now and then to prevent them from turning yellow as the wet sanding process takes off all of the remaining UV protection.
Hope this helps -Krozi
