Just keep doing what you are doing. Its pure jealousy, but then again I wish that I could have put 50K down on a vehicle at 21. Keep it up......

cant believe this still happens, especially in CA. So many nice cars driving around. I had people spit on my Z4 couple of times. I think for my new M I'm gonna mod it close to stock looking. Avoid the additional unwanted attention

Sucks that happened but that aint "hating". Hating would be a lot worse. Be glad it was just a spill.

Hell, it could have been someone admiring your car and tipped their ice cream cone.

Yea. I've only parked the M outside in a movie theater parking lot once ever since I got it. After about 30mins into the movie, the wife and I left. I got so nervous I couldn't enjoy the movie and said fuck it and left.

Now i never park the car anywhere where I do not have a full visual of it from inside.

This car is basically not transportation to me now. It's become a garage queen.

Come on, Rich. It can't be that extreme. You can't even enjoy a movie because you're worried? Don't let the haters win! Enjoy the piss out of the car (and your life!).

Not to be an ass but, wow. Do you have insurance? It's a car man. Would I be angry if I came out of a movie and found my car f'd up, of course. But would potential damage be on my mind once I was done admiring it's beauty as I walked away, not a chance. You must be a really fun person.

You know it isn't normal for a 21 year old to have an M3 right? And you know it isn't normal for a 21 year old to own gas stations right? I'd wonder how you obtained said gas stations at your age anyway (somehow, I doubt it was from working at a pizza place to generate the required capital). Either way, IMO, it's right for people to be bewildered. You can't blame them for that.

The m3 is a nice car but c'mon, it is not that rare of a car to hate on.

I think that the problem is, considering the OP is only 21, that he may hang around where other 21 year olds and below hang out at. Most 21 year olds can't afford an m3 so they do crap like this out of jealousy or what ever stupid reason.

This is like parking your car in the ghetto. There is a greater chance of having your car broken into in the ghetto than there probably is in an upscale community.

If the OP chooses to hang around kids, then things like this will happen. At least he wasn't keyed or had his tires punctured.

Well put, Seattle.

Life is too short, Rich... definitely enjoy driving your M3 and don't make it a garage queen.

In my case, I've survived a number of life threatening heart procedures over this past year, plus the 5 open heart surgeries I've survived over the past 37 years... I've been wanting so long to own an M3 so there is NO WAY IN HELL that I'd ever let a hater make me not want to drive my M3 to the full extent I want to.

Cars can always be repaired... lost time can never be replaced... enjoy every second driving that car of yours.

What's normal about anything? You'll always have folks, young or old in different financial positions... nothing abnormal about that. As for being abnormal for owning a gas station at a young age, I don't see that as the case either. I had friends back in college whose families owned gas stations so they owned them as well.

Personally, it doesn't matter to me if I come across a young person with an M3... I give them mad respect for their fine taste in cars, lol.
