Currently i hav a 2011 335i which i am either going to keep or have someone else take over payments. But i feel like i am missing something. I have been looking at the following cars to feed my craving for a great all around sports car.
2008 CLS 63 AMG $47k 2008 BMW M6 $48k 2009 BMW M3 DCT $48k I have also gave it some thoughts to grab a 03-05 Dodge Viper $38k and have a second car for my daily use and driving the kids around. I am basicially looking for a fast sports car with a unique look and sound. That i can drive daily and track it (drag strip & road course) ... I will also be modding it as well. Any thoughts. |

well for what you are looking for it seems to me the CLS is out of the question. That thing is a boulevard cruiser, not a road course car.

I'm biased, but I think the M3 would be the most well-rounded for what you want, especially if you're looking for a sedan for the kids. I side against the M6 because its practicality is a notch lower (I assume). Also, the modding community for the M3 is fairly sizable.
However, I rarely see an M6 on the road or at the track, that is, if you're looking to belong to a more exclusive club. Be prepared to pay at the pump though, more-so than the M3! |

Test drive both the M6 and the M3, and figure out which you want. I think the M6 will feel more like a muscle car and the M3 more like a traditional sports car. But in the end its your money, find the one you like better.
I didn't suggest the AMG because you said you wanted something sporty. AMGs are too softly sprung and heavy to be good sports cars.
