Plastidip for track protection?

Has anyone here used spray cans of Plastidip for rock chip protection?

The audi boys seem to use it for everything with good success. Seems like a better option than blue painters tape.

I have a friend who Plastidiped this whole Varis lip. Works well from what I can see.

I was just talking to Ralph about this @ Bimmerfest, their 135i was in the BMW CCA booth. His team does a similar thing on their track cars, sort of a of a thin coat of Rhino lining/Plastidip on the front bumper.

Here's a quick shot of his Club racer 135i:

This holds up the abuse from the track well.
