Blue Painted Brake Calipers

Hi Guys,
Always loved the later model M4's & M5's Brakes and always thought the M3 Brakes were really crap looking.

So I decided to paint them.

What I used:
High temp brake paint - Dark Blue (two coats)
M badge stickers (You can get them on eBay for pretty cheap)

I think it turned out awesomely & really offsets the colour of the car & the blue inserts in the wheels!

Enjoy:

Thanks guys, really happy with how they turned out.

Im pretty confident the colour will stick, but the stickers may not - so I might order some others and put some clear over them next time I put them on, this is an easy fix - but i wasn't totally happy with the placement of them this time, so ill wait until the next time to perma fix them.

Having said that, i did about 150mile in the car since them and they seem to stick quite well so far.

Ill keep everyone in the loop how it goes.

Yup. All nice and clean now.

Actually I should also note that I spent about an hour for each rotor getting them absolutely spotlessly clean before I painted over them - I have worked on cars for a long time and painted callipers before and found from just 'clean' callipers wont be good enough, every piece of brake dust is horrible.

Appreciate the nice feedback guys

Biggest issue is going to come when you want to swap brake pads next and they get all scratched from removing the rattle clips

Really just elbow grease!
There are a few products on the market but its just a lot of $$$ for not much, I use a bit of wheel cleaner, wash off the water. Once the water is dry just wipe and wipe and wipe, use a toothbrush and wipe and wipe!

Thats really it. Im sure there are easier way, its just I am a bit anal about cleanliness!

Thanks for sharing and congrats!

I would use Red paint since I have black rims, would be a nice contrast!

Guess I'd have to add that to my list!
