Transferring data to new Xbox 360 Slim
So I have the old original Xbox 360s. Mine overheated and I'm thinking of buying the new 360 Slim. All my data is stored on my old detachable hard drive. I noticed the new Slim has a built in hard drive and the new 250 add on hd is completely different hardware.
How do I transfer my old data on my old hd into the new 360 slim? I don't have any music and heavy stuff on it, only game data. Are all my CoD data for instance actually saved on my hd or is it saved online?

Can you copy data to a flash drive then copy back to the new one?

Does your 360 work at all to be able to transfer the data onto a USB flash drive? If not, you can use the 360 Data transfer cable: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Microsof...&skuId=1073227

mine does work, it just won't run with a game disc in it. It "overheats". It'll idle for an hour with no issues. I have about 4 gigs of data, a flash drive will work?
