Is My Car Lowered?

I use to have a 2008 M3 Coupe with Eibach pro-kit springs and I just acquired a used 2010 M3 Sedan yesterday, (non-competition package). The M3 Sedan appears to be stock in every aspect. However, I noticed that the ride seemed stiffer than what I remembered OEM suspension to feel like. My sedan kind of rides stiff, like when I was running the Eibach springs in my coupe.

Check out the pictures of all four of my wheel gap in the sedan. It almost looks like there is after-market suspension in my sedan because the gap is so small.

So, I'm wondering if my used 2010 M3 has some sort of after-market springs installed (possibly Eibach)? However, when I compared these pics to my coupe, it seems though that the coupe a bit lower. Despite the pics and the stiff ride, I'm inclined to say that my suspension is still stock.

People who are non-competition package and still on OEM springs, thoughts?

Yeah, the springs are black (which is the same color as Eibachs).

Looks stock. It is probably different tire pressure which makes the ride feel stiffer.

H&Rs are red. Eibachs are black.

I am beginning to believe I am stock springs because I see a big sticker wrapped around the rear spring...the same type of sticker BMW uses to mark some of its parts.

Yeah, I'll check the pressure to see if I need to decrease it. What's the recommended cold pressure for ContisportContact 3s?

Could it be the tires? Are conti's more rough than the ps2's?

When I test drove the coupe vs the sedan (both 2011 ZCP) in March, I noticed that the coupe seems to be smoother riding and better damped.
When I got done, I took a look at the tires and the coupe was wearing Continetals and the sedan was wearing Pirellis and I attributed the difference to the tires...Now you are making me think that maybe there is more to the ride difference.

Looks stock to me. I'm always amazed by what a difference just a few psi of tire pressure has on ride comfort.

Ok, I think it's stock too. But it's strange that the rear driver side gap...I can't even fit one finger. I remember in my coupe, I was able to fit two fingers on OEM springs and no fingers with Eibachs.

Darn....was hoping I could save money by avoiding to do the Eibach upgrade (again).

Could be a mileage/age difference? I've compared my '10 E90 to an '08 E92 and my E90 definitely felt a little stiffer and tighter overall. The mileage difference was pretty substantial though (200 miles on the E90 vs 8000 miles on the coupe). But anyway, yeah your springs look stock.

Could also be that the few extra lbs on the sedan compress the springs more? I know that when i have a passenger in my coupe the ride feels stiffer than when I am alone.
