That's somewhat of an ignorant comment. It kind of depends on how academically smart, motivated, and hard working you are. Not to mention what school you go to (level of difficulty) and what your major is. Maybe the guy is just really excited about his 3-series and can't focus. I find myself checking up on my e92 in class all the time.

not really, you go to class, they tell you what you need to know/need to learn

originality and independant thought is whats difficult, which your not required to have in college

I hope you're not an English major with that sort of spelling! :P

That really depends on your major. I have friends who walked through college and got their bachelors with ease. Of course their majors were Arts, History, and Liberal Arts. They are working at jobs now that are not even related to what they went to school for.

Try to get a degree in Chemistry, Physics, Biology, or any type of Engineering, then college won't be so easy.

To the OP, it's all about time managment. I browse this forum a lot as well, but I still spend at least 3 hours a day going over my notes. I study everyday and I'm loving it because it makes everything that much easier to retain. When you're taking advanced Physics and Organic Chemistry where the fail rate is 75%, the good ol' method of cramming before the day of the test no longer works.

I do miss the first year of college when all the courses were cake. You were able to shoot pool with your friends until 3AM, go to Denny's, go home to nap, and study before your final at 9AM and still get an A on it.

While there are moments where college can be difficult, its nothing like the working world...

Enjoy how 'easy' school and the college lifestyle is now...

Don't put ideas into his head, it doesn't help to replace one addiction with another

Yes absolutely ridiculous. I can't fathom how this site can be so addictive as to take so much of one's time ... my 6,000+ posts per annum aside, of course

Again, maybe not where YOU go to college, but I'm required to use originality and independent thought on a day to day basis. And, I'm a business major.

Also want to add that the difficulty level between that of a community college and a university is really intense. I have friends who asked me why I study so much and don't even have a 4.0GPA, when they're just studying on a base-to basis and are doing darn well. I compare what I learn to what they're doing and it's day and night I recently went to one of my friend's class at a junior college because he didn't have his car for that day so I gave him a ride, and I saw the same lame kids from high school. The day I went was when there was a pop quiz and half the class walked out! As if you can really do that in a real university.
