I'm trying to remember back when I was first considering these. Don't you guys prefer the 2x2 OEM caps over the aftermarket 1x1 caps? Are/were there concerns over delamination or the quality appearance longevity of the 1x1's?

With most parts if you can go OEM then that is the best direction. The 1x1 mirrors with IND's clear coat will hold up with no problems and fitment is perfectly fine.

any picture of jerez black?
also between the 1x1 and 2x2 is the fitment exactly the same?? I would expect 1x1 with overlay would be thicker which would make it fit tiny bit differently than stock or 2x2 ones...

Checking on the Jerez photos now. The 2x2 carbon caps will offer better fitments since they are OEM BMW parts.

One thing I noticed. I am anal about these things. The weave direction on the 2x2's... oem cf mirror I've seen, they are not all the same.
Sometimes both go like ////.
Sometimes Left one goes like this \\\ and right one go like ///. This is the way I like it.
Can you make sure weave direction is way I want if I order?
