No Low Speed Lock Up in Rear

My diff seems to not lock up at slow speeds in first gear. It locks up much better in second at the mph so to speak. Best way to describe it is if you are making a left or right turn and try to kick the rear out a little bit. My car likes to just spin the inside tire. Its actually kind of dangerous because I am expecting the rear to slide out when I put my foot into but it doesn't. And when it does lock up and kick out it it will up lock abruptly and fling the car. It fucking sucks. Does anybody else rear act like this? I had a dealer look at but all he did was put it on the lift and spin one wheel to make sure the other spun in the same direction.

Edit: Yes I keep DSC all the way off

In the past have you had the rear diff oil changed for the "special" BMW diff oil with extra friction modifiers that BMW use to quieten Diffs that made a "rubbing" noise in tight low speed turns?

There is a very steep incline to exit my boss's parking garage and I can feel it lock up almost immediately in this car. In my 335 the tire would just spin, was embarrassing and annoying.

I'm not sure I bought my car used I would have to ask BMW if it was ever done. Do I want this new fluid?

Thats because the 335 doesn't have LSD which is fucking retarded on BMWs part.

Not sure if that was retarded... cause the 335i and the M3 are very close... add the LSD on the 335 and sales of the M3 would drop

Thats something to think about but I doubt that was the deciding factor in getting the M3 over the 335

Yeah there are plenty of other considerations why you would want the M3 over the 335.... engine, suspension, history, etc.

The M3's LSD is a mechanical unit, and it locks up depending on speed differential. If you abruptly spin the tire with direct traction, LS kicks in pretty quickly. If it's gradual, engagement will be gradual too. It's just a matter of getting used to it. Each unit will be different.
