SEMA 2010 Build|Vorsteiner Widebody E92 M3|Active Autowerke E92 M3 Supercharger Kit

Dear Members,

Over the past couple of months we have been orchestrating a build for one of our overseas clients. The customer was interested in building something unique and most importantly to their specifications.

The center of the build will be focused around the Vorsteiner GTRS3 Widebody Transformation and the car will be equipped with the Active Autowerke Stage 2 E9X M3 Supercharger System. The car will also be finished in the new Wraptivo Meguirs Reventon Matte Metallic Film.

We have teamed up with Michelin, KW, Brembo, and Wraptivo Meguirs to complete this Epic build in time for its debut at the 2010 SEMA show in Las Vegas where the car will be featured in Wraptivo Meguiars booth.

We are excited to share the progress of the build via this thread and our other social avenues.

The first step in the build is going to be the KW Coilover install along with the Active Autowerke Stage 2 Supercharger Kit.

Autotalent in Los Angeles, California is known as one of the best if no the best shop in the Los Angeles area and they will be handling the install for the first stage of this build.

Install of the KW Variant 3 Suspension a.k.a The suspension of choice for the E9X M3. We recommend this suspension to all of our customers and were confident that the client would prefer this over the stock ride. It is perfect for everyday driving and also fine for the track.

KW Variant 3 inox-line – Perfect Street Performance

State-of-the-art technology from motor sports for more performance on the road. The separate and independently adjustable rebound- and compression damping allows for an individual suspension setup for different uses and preferences. The unique patented system with its two-stage valves allows a rebound damping adjustment (comfort) and a compression adjustment (driving dynamics) in the low-speed range while the high-speed range which controls the driving safety, is fixed.

Compression- and rebound adjustment

As far it is vehicle-specifically possible, the rebound damping is adjusted by a spindle at the end of the piston rod. Mainly, the traction phase (rebound) controls car body vibrations and also influences handling and comfort in the low-speed damping range. By using the traction phase adjustment, the vehicle can be adapted to the requirements of the driver. Moreover the driving behavior can be regulated from comfortably rolling to sporty and tense with improved road holding characteristics.

The compression phase adjustment is carried out at the lower end of the shock absorber via our patented multi-purpose valve. The large number of pre-set parameters of this valve allows for a wide range of adjustment for individual use. The unique low-speed compression adjustment significantly distinguishes this technology from any other. In this compression range, the driving behavior of the vehicle is drastically influenced. An increase of the damping power supports the vehicle already during compression and therefore avoids rolling and pitching. The directional stability is significantly improved.

Update:

Vorsteiner V-309 Spoke 20" Wheels

Specs:

• V-309 5 Spoke Concave Centers
• 20x10.5J | 20x12J Wheels
• Michelin PS2 Sport Tires

This is a brand new wheel that will be released at SEMA with this vehicle. The wheels will also be a finished in a brushed satin shadow with gloss brushed outer lip finish.

You forgot to mention that the KW V3 comes with a free "Squeak" upgrade. So much better than stock to spend 3k on a suspension that squeaks whenever you go over even the smallest bump. Amazing.
