Question Need Tire Size Advice for Rims

Having a bit of a dilemma with choosing tire sizes for a particular set of rims. On my previous E46 M3 I had Volk TE-37 T/A's and was running a 19x8.5(F) with a 235/35R19 and a 19x10.5(R) with a 275/30R19.

Pics:

I am wanting to run the same stretched look as my previous M3 on my E92 and my question is:

I am going or wanting to run a 19x9(F) and 19x11(R) or can I run wider without issues considering I am going to lower it considerably to eliminate the wheel gap. Will I just be able to run a 245/35(F) and a 285/30(R) to achieve the same stretched look? Don't want to have it too overly stretched but just enough to be subtle and clean. Thanks!

Any pictures would be appreciated as well! Again... Thanks!

You can run as wide as 11" in the rear (I have seen 11.5" on a couple of occasions) and 9.5" on the front (I have seen 10" for track purposes but I wouldn't use 10" for street). Tire size depends on many things... Offset of your wheels, which tire brand you choose, and the look you are trying to achieve. If I were going for a semi-stretched look I would get 9.5" & 11" (or 10.5") wide wheels with 255/35/19 & 275/35/19 tires.

Your previous setup:

235/35R19 rec. width range: 8.0-9.5" you had it on an 8.5" wheel

275/30R19 rec. width range 9.0-10" you had it on a 10.5" wheel

Proposed new setup 9.0 and 11" wheels:

245/35R19 rec width range 8.0-9.5"** you will put it on a 9.0"

285/30R19 rec width range 9.5-10.5" you will put it on an 11.0"

So it appears that you will be getting a similar look. Rears stretched 1/2" out of their official range, fronts within their recommended range and sitting fairly straight up and down.

** not a typo, 245/35R19 has the same recommended range as the 235/35R19. Weird, but that's how it goes sometimes. The 245 is still wider, just not enough to change the recommended range.
